Bass

The bass menu lets you determine if and how bass notes are played under the chord. The bass note is specified with two different attributes.

Shape

The shape instructs the virtual left hand of the player to perform certain notes based on the chord being played including:

• Root plays just the root note of the chord two octaves under the chord.
• Root + 5th plays the root note and adds in the dominant fifth note above it.
• Root + Octave plays the root note and the same note an octave higher.

Rhythm

This determines if the bass notes are played once, or played in time with the beat clock. Options include:

• Hold plays the shape notes, holding them for the duration of the chord.
• Whole plays the bass notes every downbeat of the synchronized beat.
• Half plays the bass notes twice in every measure if possible.
• Quarter plays the bass notes every quarter note in the measure.
• Eighth plays the base notes every eighth note.
