Metronome

Playin' t' a click track be a fine way t' work on yer tempo personally an' as a band, matey. OnSong has a built-in metronome that plays t' th' tempo ye set fer every song in yer library. OnSong has both an audio an' visual metronome t' work in any scenario, savvy?

Ye can set th' tempo an' time signature o' th' metronome fer each song in th' Playback Menu or by settin' Metadata in th' Song Editor or with th' Metadata Editor.

Ye can toggle an' set th' metronome from th' Metronome Live Bar Button found in th' Live Bar at th' lower right corner o' th' OnSong user interface. Ye can also toggle th' metronome usin' Foot Pedals.

Th' metronome has many different configuration options that can be accessed in Settings » Live Settings » Metronome. Ahoy, here be some things ye can do with th' metronome:

Get Musical

Use different metronome sounds like a snare an' bass drum t' make th' metronome sound more like music, ye scallywag. Do this in Settings » Live Settings » Metronome » Audio Settings » Sound.

Get th' Song Started

Forgettin' th' tempo o' a song can be catastrophic t' th' rest o' th' song, Blimey! Play th' metronome fer a few measures an' have it turn off automatically. Ye can do this with th' Stop Metronome option in Settings » Live Settings » Metronome » Audio Settings » Behavior.

Click Track with In-Ear Monitors

Whatever ye do, don't play yer metronome on stage fer everyone t' hear, matey! Avast, however, ye could send th' audio metronome from OnSong into yer sound board or use a mix-in channel on yer in-ear monitorin' system. With this configuration, ye will hear th' click an' yer audience won't.

Visualize th' Beat

If ye be usin' Stage Monitors, OnCue, or OnSong Connect ye can configure OnSong t' flash external displays in time with yours. Configure visual metronome settings in Settings » Live Settings » Metronome » Visual Settings.
