Our flagship OnSong app can be installed on your Mac laptop or desktop through the Mac App Store. You get the same great features of the mobile version of the app with a familiar interface but designed to fit into macOS. Requires macOS 11.0 Big Sur or newer.

Key Differences

Of course a desktop version of OnSong is expected to be slightly different. Here's what you can expect:

Add To OnSong

The Add To OnSong extension only works on iOS/iPadOS. There is no similar extension that is available for Safari or other apps on the Mac. However with quick access to the file system, it's likely easier to save your content as a file your local hard drive and then import.

External Video

Mac computers don't act like iOS/iPadOS devices when external screens are connected. Instead of taking over the entire screen automatically, you can open windows contains the lyrics or stage monitor chord charts and then drag them to external screens and go full screen. The OnSong^® app remembers that for next time and puts it back.

Files

Since the Mac version runs on a full operating system, the Files option when importing and exporting opens the standard file system dialog. You still get the same interface to import and export to Dropbox, Google Drive, and OnSong Drive as well as other content providers.
